I remember discovering Krewella around the time when I gave my 10th grade final exams. Went and mp3 downloaded all their songs. Loved their dubstep and energy. I slowly watched the Krewlife videos and I thought college life is gonna look like this. I'm not American so ofc it was never gonna look like this but I could imagine myself vibing in college parties at such tracks. By the time I went to college rap and hip-hop had become the biggest genre and EDM was on a decline. Alan Walker was still creating quite a buzz then in 2018 and had people hooked but it wasn't this crazy. In a way I am happy I experienced the glory era of EDM during my teenage years of school but I also feel I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I would have if I was in college that time. Krewella and other artists started making slower music. I live in Germany now where techno is king and mainstream EDM isn't thaaaat popular. And although I have begun to love techno a lot now, the kid in me wants to vibe to these 2014 era tracks so much. I love the dark thumping beats of techno in a dark smoke filled Berlin club but I like a lot of people around the world grew up listening to and watching American parties and this shit slaps. Skrillex obviously the main guy but Krewella not tooo far behind. I wish you guys come to Europe again for smaller gigs so its affordable to watch you guys go crazy. So much love. Krewlife forever.
